Class A TX-FreshPack Produce Inc. - LOCAL and OTR CLASS A Job
FreshPack Produce, Inc. is a leading independent regional wholesale distributor of fresh fruits and vegetables with distribution centers in Denver-CO and Dallas-Texas. We are currently looking for Local and OTR Drivers Class A at our Grand Prairie, TX location.
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for driving a truck on established routes to deliver product, render services, collect payment and provide exceptional customer service. Delivery routes will include a variety of locations in the Grand Prairie/Dallas metro area and surrounding counties.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
- Drives truck to deliver such items as perishable foods.
- Collects money from customers and records transaction on customers invoice.
- Collects or picks up unsold merchandise.
- Load trucks
- Unload and stack product according to established instruction per account.
- Obtains customers signature on invoice for delivery or pick up.
- Clean inside of truck
- Performs daily routine vehicle condition report on truck and or trailer.
- Must comply with company policies and D.O.T. regulations (ie. driver log books).
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good client/customer service skills.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively with a team.
- Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
- Ability to operate pallet jack and forklift a plus.
- Ability to operate both standard and automatic vehicles.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least (21) years old
- Must have at least (1) year verifiable tractor trailer experience for Class A license
- No DUI/DWI/DWAI’s in the past (5) years
- No felony convictions in the past (5) years
- All previous suspensions listed on the candidates DMV record will be evaluated on a case by case by the Transportation Safety Manager
- No possession charges in the last (3) years
- No more than (3) moving violations in the past (36)
- Candidate must pass all minimum pre-employment requirements on their driving record listed above (background & drug screen)
