At Western Wrecking, we provide the removal of unwanted buildings and structures as well as aiding in the beginning of a construction project through site clearing and preparation for the next phase of a project. We are a small, family-owned business based out of Conifer, Colorado. For over 10 years we have been managing projects from the Western Slope to the Eastern Plains and everywhere in between. We are committed to delivering high-quality results safely and efficiently and pride ourselves on our skilled workforce and innovative approach to earthwork and demolition projects.
Job Description: We are seeking a CDL Driver with experience specific to hauling on and off construction sites. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in heavy equipment loading/off-loading, driving onto and off construction sites while loaded and have experience transporting various materials to dump sites per project needs around earthwork and demolition. Projects include travel in the Denver metro area as well as into the mountain region, therefore experience with mountain travel while loaded is important. This is not a long-haul position; daily needs may shift from transporting equipment from one project to the next one day to transporting demo waste to designated dumpsites or delivering dirt or pipe for earth work needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain trucks and trailers through pre and post operational checks and report any maintenance or repairs needs to supervisors in a timely manner
• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders for the purpose of loading and unloading from trailers if necessary
• Ability to be aware of surroundings near the equipment to maintain safe operation and distances from potential hazards such as underground utility lines, other equipment, and other workers always
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and ground personnel regarding load transportation and project needs
• Ability to step out of truck and assist with groundwork if necessary
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment including wearing proper PPE when required
• Drive trucks to and from job sites as required
• Work functions require the physical ability to repeatedly push, pull, and climb in and out of truck cab
• Other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications:
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Ability to pass and maintain minimum MVR per company handbook
Experience:
• Verifiable experience operating large trucks requiring a CDL for operation on and off construction sites
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to construction sites
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (rain, snow, cold, heat)

Pay: $24-$32/hour
