Truck Driver-CDL Class A-Touch Freight - Penske Logistics Job
Route/Activity – Truck drivers are responsible for delivering product to customers. (Flat Bed Account delivering roofing product to customers, an then backhaul back to Statesboro area.)
Shift – (Monday - Friday with longer routes leaving Sunday afternoon. Saturdays occasionally during peaks )
Equipment – 48’ Flat Bed Trailers
Compensation – Hourly, mileage, or Activity Base Pay .44 per mile, 20.00 per stop, 20.00 per hour for delay paid after first hour, 25.00 layover for each night away. Average 1200.00 per week
Responsibilities:
Pre Trip & Post Trip Inspections. Securing load.
-Safe and responsible operation of assigned equipment.
-Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
-Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route.
-Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery.
